NTPA1000 Triplex Liquid Nitrogen Plunger Pump | 1000 BHP Horizontal Cryogenic Reciprocating Pump

Liquid Nitrogen Unit

Product Overview

The NTPA1000 liquid nitrogen plunger pump is an offset-free horizontal single-acting triplex reciprocating cryogenic pump with a rated maximum input power of 1000 brake horsepower (746 kW), developed for large-displacement, high-pressure liquid nitrogen pumping service in heavy duty oilfield nitrogen stimulation operations. The complete pump assembly adopts three-section modular layout including power end, cryogenic cold end and intermediate spacer sleeve for convenient disassembly, inspection and field maintenance. The power end is built with a forged one-piece crankshaft, heavy-duty roller bearings and high-strength connecting rod assembly, delivering stable torque transmission and vibration damping under continuous 1000 BHP rated load. The stainless steel cryogenic cold end withstands liquid nitrogen low-temperature embrittlement and erosive wear from high-velocity cryogenic fluid. The intermediate spacer sleeve integrates plunger wiper rings and scraper rings to prevent cryogenic fluid leakage into the power end lubricating oil system. This pump is equipped with a fixed 2.5-inch plunger, covering multiple speed working conditions from 495 RPM to 2100 RPM input power, stable maximum discharge pressure up to 15,000 psi (103 MPa), peak flow rate up to 100 GPM, ideal for large-scale nitrogen fracturing, high-rate coiled tubing N2 workover and EOR operations.

Core Features & Benefits

1000 BHP high power triplex design, large displacement output, suitable for mass liquid nitrogen injection fracturing
The highest power-rated triplex LN2 pump in the NTPA series, delivering up to 100 GPM flow for large-scale nitrogen fracturing and high-volume stimulation treatments.

Offset-free horizontal single-acting structure, stable operation under long-duration heavy load intermittent working conditions
The offset-free crankshaft design eliminates unbalanced lateral forces, reducing vibration and wear during extended heavy-load pumping cycles.

Modular three-piece split structure (power end + cold end + spacer sleeve) for fast disassembly and overhaul
Three-section modular design allows independent removal of power frame, cold end and spacer sleeve without disturbing adjacent assemblies, reducing maintenance downtime.

Detachable high-reduction gear reducer, dual drive modes: gear transmission or direct motor crankshaft connection
The integrated gearbox can be detached for direct hydraulic motor or diesel engine drive connection, while standard gear reduction configuration supports conventional PTO or electric motor prime movers.

Alloy welded integrated power frame + solid forged crankshaft, excellent tensile, bending and impact resistance
Welded alloy steel frame with one-piece forged crankshaft and roller bearings ensures structural integrity under continuous 1000 BHP heavy-load pumping.

Low-friction roller bearing layout, high reliability and long service life under 24-hour continuous pumping duty
Roller bearing-supported connecting rod and crosshead assemblies minimize mechanical friction and heat generation during sustained 24-hour continuous nitrogen pumping operations.

Full stainless steel cold end assembly, resistant to cryogenic temperature shock and liquid nitrogen erosion
Complete 304 stainless steel fluid end with cryogenic-grade packing prevents low-temperature embrittlement and corrosion from prolonged LN2 service exposure.

Universal interchangeable cryogenic seals compatible with mainstream cold end spare parts, cut maintenance cost
Standardized seal dimensions ensure compatibility with widely available cryogenic pump seal kits, reducing parts inventory requirements and field maintenance lead time.

Wide adjustable speed range, flexible switching between high-pressure low-flow and medium-pressure large-flow operation
Variable speed drive capability from 495 to 2100 RPM input allows on-the-fly adjustment between high-pressure/low-flow and high-volume/moderate-pressure pumping modes.

Compact overall layout, compatible with skid-mounted, truck-mounted and trailer-mounted nitrogen pump unit integration
Optimized footprint and weight distribution enables integration into standard skid, truck or trailer nitrogen pump packages without major structural modification.

Typical Applications

Large-displacement liquid nitrogen pumping for horizontal well staged nitrogen fracturing stimulation
High-pressure deep casing pressure testing and large-scale wellbore nitrogen displacement cleanup
Heavy oil reservoir nitrogen huff-puff EOR treatment with continuous large-volume nitrogen injection
High-load coiled tubing workover: plug milling, sand washing and nitrogen lifting operations
Sour gas well intervention with H2S/CO2 corrosive formation fluid environments
Core power equipment for large trailer/truck integrated nitrogen pumping units
Long-term continuous cryogenic fluid transfer for oilfield stimulation and temporary well abandonment

Advantages Over Medium & Low Power Nitrogen Pumps

1000 BHP high power output supports large-flow ultra-high pressure pumping, suitable for mass nitrogen fracturing construction
The NTPA1000 power rating enables high-volume nitrogen injection at sustained pressure levels unattainable by medium-power LN2 pumps, supporting large-scale multi-stage fracturing operations.

Triplex plunger layout effectively reduces flow pulsation, stable pressure output to protect downstream high-pressure pipeline instruments
Three-plunger configuration delivers smoother discharge flow than single or duplex pumps, minimizing pressure surge damage to downstream piping, valves and instrumentation.

Detachable gearbox realizes dual drive schemes, greatly simplifies customized nitrogen unit overall design
The removable gear reducer allows both geared transmission and direct-drive configurations on the same pump frame, offering flexibility for different prime mover arrangements.

Forged crankshaft + heavy-duty roller bearing power end withstands long-time intermittent heavy load without premature wear
The forged alloy steel crankshaft with heavy-duty roller bearings is engineered for intermittent heavy-load service typical of oilfield stimulation campaigns.

Stainless steel cold end with universal interchangeable seals shortens spare parts procurement cycle and reduces field repair time
Industry-standard seal dimensions enable fast sourcing of replacement cold end seals from multiple suppliers, reducing downtime during critical job operations.

Wide adjustable speed range covers multiple pressure-flow working points, strong adaptability to variable field construction parameters
The pump wide operating speed envelope allows rapid reconfiguration between job types without mechanical modification.

Integrated high-strength welded power frame resists vibration and impact under harsh rig site operating conditions
The welded alloy steel power frame with integrated reinforcing ribs provides superior structural damping under the vibration and impact loads typical of mobile nitrogen unit operation.
