Concentric Coiled Tubing Wash Tool Multi-mode

Downhole Tool

Product Overview

The Concentric Coiled Tubing Wash Tool (Multi-mode) is a multi-functional dual-pipe concentric wash downhole tool developed for concentric continuous coiled tubing well intervention operations, primarily applied to inner wall descaling, paraffin removal and sediment flushing of production tubing and casing.

This multi-mode concentric wash tool is specially designed for ultra-low-pressure reservoir wellbore treatment operations that cannot be handled by conventional circulation wash subs. It integrates three independent switchable working modes: Washing Mode, Jetting Mode and Forceful Vacuum Mode; construction crews can freely switch between modes simply by adjusting the surface pump flow rate without pulling the tool string out of the well, greatly improving operation flexibility and construction efficiency.

During working construction, clean fluid is pumped into the inner concentric coiled tubing; fluid flows through the built-in spiral flow channel and is accelerated to form high-speed swirling jet flow at the tool outlet. The powerful spiral jet fully stirs up sand sediment, hard scale and paraffin deposits attached to tubing and casing inner walls. All stirred suspended solid debris and mixed liquid pass through the integrated self-cleaning filter screen, then enter the annular space between inner and outer concentric coiled tubing, and flow back upward to the ground surface under vacuum negative pressure suction. The tool operates under ultra-low working pressure of 3MPa to minimize fluid injection pressure and effectively reduce formation damage to low-pressure sensitive reservoirs.

Two complete service grades are supplied to adapt diverse reservoir environments: STD standard grade for conventional sweet oil wells without hydrogen sulfide corrosive media; H₂S sour service grade manufactured with sulfur-resistant alloy to adapt high-H₂S corrosive sour gas well downhole working conditions.

The standardized product lineup covers two mainstream concentric coiled tubing size combinations: 2"×1" and 2-3/8"×1.25", with matched overall make-up length specifications, fixed standard working parameters of 80~90L/min flow rate and 3MPa maximum working pressure, equipped with dedicated concentric coiled tubing matching connectors for seamless assembly with mainstream concentric continuous coiled tubing assemblies and low-pressure reservoir wellbore cleaning downhole service tools. Custom concentric tubing matching specifications, spiral flow channel structural parameters and anti-sulfur passivation coatings are available upon customer technical drawing submission.

Core Features & Advantages

Three Independent Switchable Working Modes Design: Integrates Washing Mode, Jetting Mode and Forceful Vacuum Mode all in one tool assembly. Operators can switch between different working modes on-site by adjusting pump flow rate without tripping the tool string out of the well, realizing one single tool to complete multiple wellbore cleaning treatment processes and greatly reducing operation cycle time.

Integrated Self-Cleaning Filter Screen Structural Design: Built-in self-cleaning filter assembly at the fluid return channel, which can block large solid debris while realizing automatic backwashing of the filter screen during circulation, avoiding filter blockage caused by sediment accumulation and ensuring long-term stable vacuum suction recovery performance.

Spiral Flow Channel High-Efficiency Rotary Jet Flushing Configuration: The internal flow channel adopts a spiral guide vane structural design; pumped straight fluid is converted into continuous high-speed swirling spiral jet flow at the tool outlet, realizing 360° full-circumference dead-zone-free scouring on tubing and casing inner walls, with stronger impact force for thick hard scale and compact sand sediment removal.

Vacuum Negative Pressure Suction Debris Recovery System: The tool forms stable vacuum negative pressure in the concentric tubing annulus during circulation operation; all stirred suspended sediment and debris are sucked into the annular space and continuously carried back to the ground surface, realizing one-step integration of washing, stirring and solid phase recovery without secondary downhole circulation flushing.

Ultra-Low Working Pressure Low Formation Damage Design: Fixed standard working pressure of 3MPa, matching 80~90L/min low flow rate construction parameters; the whole operation process adopts low-pressure fluid injection, effectively avoiding high-pressure fluid breakthrough damage to low-pressure sensitive reservoirs, suitable for all kinds of ultra-low-pressure formation wellbore treatment operations that cannot be constructed by conventional circulation wash tools.

Dual Working Condition Grade Configuration: STD standard version applies to conventional sweet oilfield non-corrosive working environments; H₂S sour service version adopts sulfur-resistant alloy base material and professional anti-sulfur passivation coating to resist hydrogen sulfide corrosion in harsh sour gas well conditions.

Standard Concentric Tubing Size Compatibility: Standard product series covers two mainstream concentric coiled tubing matching specifications: 2"×1" and 2-3/8"×1.25", fully compatible with global mainstream concentric continuous coiled tubing assemblies for all ultra-low-pressure reservoir well descaling and sand flushing intervention demands.

Precision CNC High-Strength Alloy Manufacturing: Adopts precision CNC machining integral tool body, concentric matching connector, spiral flow channel guide vanes and self-cleaning filter components, featuring outstanding high-pressure jet abrasion resistance, sediment erosion resistance and structural stability, extending long-term continuous low-pressure concentric CT washing service life.
