This hinged split coiled tubing clamp is a dedicated load-bearing fixture widely used on coiled tubing operation sites. It is applied for hoisting coiled tubing from reels, temporary wellhead anchoring, load retention during bottom hole tool assembly and pressure testing. The clamp adopts hinged two-piece housing design for quick opening and closing; internal hardened serrated slip segments bite into coiled tubing outer wall to generate robust friction clamping force. When you tighten the outer bolts, the housing compresses slips radially to grip tubing tightly and transfer tensile/lifting loads; loosening bolts enables fast disassembly without threading the tubing through clamp ends.
The main housing is manufactured from heat-treated forged alloy steel with bright red anti-corrosion coating for outdoor rust prevention on rig floors. Worn slip inserts can be individually replaced instead of replacing the whole clamp to cut long-term operating cost. The hinge structure greatly accelerates on-site installation. Sour-grade variants follow NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 standards to adapt to H₂S containing workover environments. It is a common auxiliary tool for coiled tubing rigs during rigging, tool string assembly and tubing maintenance.
