The Up-Stroke Hydraulic Jar is a hydraulic delay type single-action upward impact fishing jar, specially developed for coiled tubing heavy workover operations such as stuck pipe release, junk fishing, drilling, sidetracking directional drilling and casing cutting.

This single upward stroke hydraulic jar adopts mature industry standard hydraulic delay buffer mechanism. Operators can generate controllable upward jarring impact only by lifting upward the coiled tubing string on surface; the tool does not produce downward jarring impact when slacking off tubing weight. No pre-well setting, calibration or mechanical adjustment work is required before running the tool string into wellbore. The magnitude of upward jarring impact force is positively proportional to the upward lifting load applied on surface, construction personnel can flexibly adjust upward impact strength according to downhole stuck severity and formation bearing capacity.

The tool is designed with a full large-diameter internal through bore, the wide unobstructed inner flow passage provides smooth channel for operation drop balls, allowing drop balls to freely pass through the up-stroke hydraulic jar body to actuate other downhole functional tools without flow blockage risk.
